Dog identification process

This is my very smart baby sister naming all of us! Of couse, although she's smart, she still needed some prompting sometimes.

I think my baby sister can sorta recognise my big brother herbie sometimes. Sometimes when she sees his photo, she will go 'Er-Bie!' but sometimes she just says dog. My M have been trying to tape her saying 'Herbie' but she's not always so cooperative. I wonder how she knows which is my big brother herbie since my M only showed her a few pictures of herbie.

Promoted

My M got an email from my breeder recently, and it turns out that I'm gonna be promoted soon! Yes, promoted to the status of Uncle!

My litter sister, Spice, will be having her first pups in April! I thought our mum was great by having 7 pups in all but Spice managed to pull an even better one. The vet thinks that she might have 12 pups!! I'll be an uncle to 12 nieces and nephews!

Look at the soon-to-be mother, doesn't she look as boootiful as me?

Gosh, I feel so grown up now!

PS: But I'm not sure my M still calls me a silly boy and thinks of me as a puppy. (M: because you behave like a puppy!!! ) I shall have to make her stop calling me silly or else none of my nephews and nieces are gonna wespect me.

Diaper Cake

My M has been busy these few days making a cake for her friend whom she says is going to 'pop' soon. I wonder what is her friend popping. Maybe corn? So that we can have pop-corn?

And the cake she's making looks very strange too. I asked her if I can eat the cake and she says no, coz it's a diaper cake. I asked if she meant to say her friend 'pooped' instead of 'popped' since she needs diapers but she kok my head and called me a silly boy. She said a diaper cake is made up of diapers and baby goodies stuffed inside to resemble a cake.

Then I noticed something VERY interesting on the diaper cake!

A toy-toy!!!

So I asked if I can have the toy if I can't have the cake.

Can I have Mr Tiger please??

But my M said no and proceeded to wrap it up.

I think maybe I'll have to pop too in order to get a diaper cake with toy. Or maybe should I poop instead? Hmmm....

Rated: Not suitable for children

Although this post is not suitable for children, the atrocious act is done by none other than my baby sister, a kid herself!

See, not only is she a dog abuser, she is also a dog molester too!

Look at the proof! Look at what she's trying to do to Scuba!

Besides this, she has also tried to touch his balls and poke his bum! Poor Scuba! I'm so glad that I have my long fur to help cover up my privates, otherwise I think I won't be spared from her molestations as well.

Don't let this seemingly sweet photo from deceiving you. My baby sister is indeed capable of criminal acts!

Dogs who visit us, be warned! Come at your own risk!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Roaring Year of the Tiger! I hope everyone's year started Puurfectly! At least mine was not too bad. My M and MM brought me visiting on the first and second day of the Lunar New Year and I got to perform my parlor tricks (ie: food on nose). The kids were extremely impressed and I got quite a bit of cookies. I would have gotten more if my M was not there to control the amount *pout*.

Well, we didn't manage to take any photos coz my M didn't bring her camera and I was too busy checking out the new houses and trying to avoid the babies. My M says I finally knows what it feels like to be stalked because one of the nephews, who is only a month older than my baby sis, was totally fascinated with me and kept following me all night. I had to be constantly on the move because I think he was trying to steal my toy.

My M's gonna have a pawty at home this saturday so hopefully there'll be more food! Maybe she'll remember to take photos too!

(M: And there's gonna be another baby too!)

Oh no! I hope this baby won't stalk me like the other one does. I have soooo many toys to pawtect!

Dog abuse - after thoughts

Well, a reader of my blog commented on my earlier posting that he/she was appalled that my M allowed my baby sister to hit me with a book.

There are somethings I need to clarify on my M's behalf.

Firstly, that was only a portion of the video recording. Prior to that being recorded, my baby sister was actually patting me, that's why my M took out the video to film us. Then my baby sister changed her mind and decided to bully me.

Secondly, what makes the reader think that my M did not scold or discipline my baby sister? It was precisely why the video was cut off at the end coz my M stopped taping to reprimand her when she refused to heed the earlier warnings. Or maybe I should ask my M to continue taping the evidence of her disciplining my baby sister to show to the world that she did not just sit back and let me be bullied.

Thirdly, I can choose to walk away and my baby sister will not be able to reach me since she is confined in the playpen. I was not made to stay there. Actually, if I am really very much in pain, I would have walked away.

Those who follow my blog will know that there are posts showing when me and my baby sister really love each other. And babies being babies, sometimes they do not know their own strength or what they do might be wrong. But don't worry, I'm still very much loved, and my baby sister does get stopped when she gets a bit overboard.

Just don't get so uptight and jump to conclusions, ok?

Zhng my netbook!

Remember I said that my M is planning to do something else with the photos she drew of us?

This is what she did... with her netbook:

Isn't that nice!

Dog Abuse

Remember I said that my baby sister loves me?

Now I'm beginning to think that it's not that true. Look at what she's doing to me?

She has now taken to whacking me with her book. And after that (not captured on video), she even attempted to dig out my eye with her thumb!

(M: The funny thing is, the baby is confined in her playpen and Helios is outside. He could have walked away when she started 'bullying' him and she won't be able to reach him but he chose to stay there and let her finish her evil deeds (pulling ears, pulling fur, whacking head, poking eye) before he walks away. Then he'll stay there looking very sad and resigned the whole time. What a silly dog!)

Although after that she tried to make up to me, I couldn't quite decide if I should forgive her.

Oh well, I think I'll forgive her.

Finally unveiled!

Remember sometime ago I posted this drawing my M made of me and my big brother Herbie and I was wondering what she was planning to do with it?

Well, I finally found out some time ago but I couldn't tell you guys about it as it was meant as christmas presents and I can't reveal what it is until the recipients have all opened their presents.

This is what my M made in the end:

A tee-shirt with all my friends on it!

Here's a close-up. Can you tell who's who?

She also made some mugs as well.

Side A...

Side B...

And she made a non-chrismas version tee for my baby sister.

Finally! I can let the cat out of the bag! What a relief!

And now my M is thinking of what else can she do with the drawings. She's thinking maybe she will zhng her netbook next. Whatdyaguys think?

(Zhng is a local slang for 'modify', ie: modify something so that it's nicer, faster, prettier etc)

Happy New Year and update on my barkday

First of all, a very Happy New 2010 to everyone! Me and my M started the new year by going to the beach early this morning to try and catch the sun rise with her friends. I told her, why must she catch the sun when she can catch me, since my name have the word sun too?

She said it's a different sun. Frankly I can't tell but I'm just happy to be out with her. She said she will try and see if there's any nice peektures.

And now, an update on my barkday. My M says I'm officially an adult now so I can vote, drink and watch R(21) movies.

On X'mas eve, after baking the cake, I finally had a chance to eat it, but we had to do some things first.

Take peektures...

It took a lot of convincing to make me take this peekture coz I refused to go near the dangerous fire on my cake. I don't know why my M tried to burn my yummy cake. Luckily, my baby sister and Tommy's baby brother managed to help me put out the fire.

After that we managed to take a proper (and safe) peekture. Safe also because Jack and Joey were kept aside. They couldn't take the peekture with us because if they stand too near the cake, there'll be none left for the rest of us.

There must be something about white dogs. Even Scuba tried to steal my cake while me and Tommy were still posing. Luckily he's not as fast as Jack and Joey so we managed to save the cake.

Here's us testing the cake first before it was taken away to be cut up.

And on my actual barkday, my M cooked my yummy steak and a fried egg. She also gave me some of her carbonara!

More peekture taking...

Chomp... chomp...

What a wonderful end to a great year!

My Barkday Cake!

How time flies! I'm gonna be 3 years old next week and since the humans are having a x'mas eve party tonight, my M decided to have an early celebration for my Barkday too! So she's gonna make me a yummy cake. You can try out this recipe at home too but there's no guarantee how it'll turn out coz my M does everything in estimation.

Sorry if the photos turn out blurry or with a strange color cast coz my M left her camera at Scuba's house and she had to make do with her phone's camera.

First, you'll need these:

Of course, what's a doggie cake without meat? So you'll need this too:

Minced beef (or whatever meat), stir fried with chopped garlic. Then boil and mash the potatoes.

Mix them with the egg (coz I think the egg holds everything together)

My M happens to have some left over cream and she was afraid it'll spoil if kept for too long so she added it in as well but you can skip this if you want.

And how can a cake not have flour? So we have the healthier wholemeal version. It's also to soak up any excess juice if your mixture is too soggy.

Mix, mix, mix. I wanted to help but my M won't let me.

But in the end she found something that I can help out with.

I think this is a very good job for me, cleaning hands.

This year, my M decided that instead of the usual round or square cakes, she'll try something special. Can you guess what?

She's gonna make me a Me cake!

And this is what the finished me looks like!

Complete with 3D ears!

After that it's baking time, about 200 celcius for 30 minutes. Then the cake has to be cooled down before we can start decorating.

Speaking of decorating, my M was actually wondering if there's any sugarless, or healthy icing (for dogs). She's not a cake person so in the end she used cream cheese again. But she'd like to try something else (with some color hopefully) next year. Drop a note if you have a recipe please!

ok, so here's the cream cheese deco in progress...

And the completed one...

Now comes the hard part.... trying to put my name on it.

My M DIYed the 'icing' with mashed sweet potatoe (actually she cooked 4 sweet potatoes but ended up using only one).

Luckily my name came out all right.

And here come the hardest, hardest part....

Taking a photo with my cake but not being able to eat it... *pout*

My M says I have to wait til the pawty tonight to share with my friends.

PS: Psstt.... I've actually had a secret lick when she wasn't looking. Don't tell her that.

New Calendar!

My new 2010 Calendar is out! ok, it's not really mine, coz my baby sister and my big brother herbie are featured in there too. My M likes to use our photos and make it into a calendar every year so that she can admire us in the office.

Here's handsome/ pretty us!

Well, this year, besides the doggie version, she made another baby version for the grandparents. The baby version has more peektures of my baby sister, but me and my big brother herbie managed to sneak in some months. But I don't think it's as good as the doggie version so I shan't bore you guys with it.

On a side note, my M's friend found a white huskee look-a-like dog around Serangoon Gardens. The dog has no tag and not microchipped. Aunty SY said that the dog is very friendly. If anyone has lost a similar looking dog, please go to the SPCA quickly because that's where Aunty SY has sent it.

I really want that!

I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want...

I really, really want that froggie

(M: Helios sat there for a good 20 minutes just waiting for the frog at a friend's house. He didn't get it of course, but it didn't stop him from going back there to wait again every time he thinks some human is going near the frog)

Is that me??

My M and MM went out for dinner the other day at this restaurant called Big O, and on one of the walls of this restaurant, there were lots and lots of doggie pictures.

As my M was glancing at those pictures, she did a double take, coz my picture was up there!! She wondered how did my picture get up there so she took another look, and another, and another, and then she decided to go up to my picture and take an even closer look.

Can you find me?

And then she realised that it's not me. But it certainly does look like me, right? She later found out from one of the waitress that the dog belongs to a friend of the owner.

Maybe it's my long lost twin.

Not talking

We're not talking to each other right now....

Gotcha!

Did we manage to trick you? Don't worry, we're still best buddies.

And we love each other...

My M and MM took us to the Botanics Garden to take nice peektures. The last time I was here, my big brother herbie was still with us and I took lots of nice peektures with him. Now that he's not here anymore, my baby sister is taking over his place.

If you'd notice, the chair is the very same one I sat on with my big brother herbie.

Maybe I'll post more nice peektures once my lazy M is done with sorting them.

Freud needs a new home!

My M just got an email from one of my readers, Jo, asking to help publicize Freud's plight.

Freud is a 3 years old black mongrel whom Jo has rescued about 4 months ago from his very irresponsible previous owner who neglected him by locking him in the balcony for over a year with no walks and no attention. He was severely malnourished. I can never ever imagine a life with no walks and no attention. My M calls me the 'attention-seeking boy' and I think I'll just die if no one loves me.

Anyway, Jo has managed to fatten Freud up a little, but as she already has a dog and cat at home, her family is not keen to foster Freud, so poor Freud has been staying in the boarding place for the last 4 months.

Well, I guess a boarding place is better than his previous home, but it's not as good as a proper home and it's not a long term solution. So Jo would like to find Freud a new home, or if a foster for now until he finds his furever home. She says that Freud is very sweet, takes easily to people and very very smart. (But I still think I'm smarter, although my M calls me silly)

Here's what freud looks like:

So if any of you can help, drop me a mail.

Fishy Friends

I realise now that my baby sister is a cat too, like me! But I still don't know why I'm a cat when I'm obviously a dog. My M calls me the scardey cat, and now my baby sister is the copy cat. There sure are a lot of cat names around.

Maybe we're called cats coz we both like fishies. I've heard that cats like fishes.

Everytime I pass by the fishies' home, I like to pay them a visit. I will pull my M towards them so that I can say hi. But I think fishes are not very friendly coz they usually ignores me.

Visiting the fishes!

And look, even my baby sister is fascinated with fishes! And she's got bigger fishy friends than me. *pout*

Artistic Project

My M is now embarking on another of her project and she intends to do something with it. She won't tell me what she's doing, but she did give me a sneak preview.

Can you tell who's who?

I wonder what she's making this time....

Love that transcends species and dimension?

As I was sorting my mail over at the rainbow bridge the other day, deleting spam mails that promised me riches beyond my wildest dream (I wonder why no one ever sends mail to tell me that I've won a whole lifetime supply of dinners? Oh wait, I used up my lifetime. Darn!)

And then one of the mails popped up. It was something different. It was written with so much feelings, I can feel that this writer truly loves me, nevermind the bad english.

This is what she wrote:

Hello dear new friend.
Glad that I'm just browsing now in the Internet and I come acros your contact and i was much feelings oaver it,I'm miss angel wilson by name, please i will like us to hold a good relationship with a real love,I'm happy to look at your contaact today ,you sound so gentle to me that was the reason why i fall very much interested in you, contact me personal with my private box for more introduction also i will sent my pictures to you so we can know more about each other,i will be happy to see your mail my dear, age or colour even distance can't deny any genuine love,so please lets give our self a trial, thanks till i hear from you,
miss angel

Oh wow, my very first love letter! And I truly agree with her that genuine love transcends age, color and distance! But I must say she has really chosen for herself a really testing love story, for I am 8 years old (at last count), golden brown (with a pale gold underbelly) and currently living over the rainbow bridge.

But wait, she's Miss Angel! I wonder if there's a chance she might be living somewhere near the rainboe bridge. Maybe around St. Peter's gate? If that's the case, it would make travelling so much shorter.

Now I just wonder if she minds an 8 year old (and dead) brown dog.

Do you think she will accept me?
