The Thinker

A few months ago, a small patch of white fur suddenly appeared on my head. A lot of people asked my M what happened, so my M told them that I got white hair from thinking too much.

Thinking in process

Maybe I should try not to think too much about who to disturb next.

I like to sleep...

.... with my head under the sofas.

My M says it's my own way of switching off the lights.

Cool Dude

Uncle M just had new tattoos done on his arms recently, and the humans all thought it looked pretty cool. So I tell them, I'm a cool dude too! Coz I have a tattoo too!

If you just ignore the toy in my mouth, don't I look like a cool dude?

Maybe I should try not to stuff the toys in my mouth so much. It seems to take away whatever look I'm trying to achieve. I can't look furocious, or cool with toys in my mouth.

Anyway! I was an even cooler dude coz I had the tattoo done when I was a pup. It reads 'SAV 040', with SAV being the abbreviation of the kennel name I came from and 040 means I'm the number 40th pup born there. My litter brother Casper has the tattoo SAV 039.

My M says it's a good identification because if I ever get stolen or lost, the person who got me cannot claim that I am another dog coz no other dog will have my tattoo.

Oh dear, what happens if the finder decides to chop off my ear instead, then I'll be a one-eared dog!

Time flies

Hey everyone. Time really flies. It's been 1 year and 1 day since I have been gone and I hope everyone is doing fine. And now the important question....

Anyone missed me?? Anyone??? ANYONE??

Miss me?

Anyway, I'm glad that Helios, although silly and not as smart as me, has managed to maintain this blog pretty well. But I can't say the same for my M. In spite of her on leave for the last 2 months, she has been lazy helping Helios update the blog. There were some videos she took that still has not seen the light of day and I know she's trying to use the baby as an excuse but trust me, the baby sleeps more than me when I was alive. And I slept A LOT.

Maybe I should threaten to haunt her unless she works a little more harder at maintaining my blog.

Now if I can just find a large white sheet to cover myself in.

Cheated Walks

Thanks for your concern guys, I'm all right now. Our housekeeper has been dismissed on Monday, and the new housekeeper won't be in til next week. As I was saying in my previous post, one of the main reason she was dismissed is because she was not honest, on top of other things

She is supposed to walk me in the afternoons but she has not been doing it for a long time. My M and MM were not aware coz they were working, and it's only after my baby sister came and my M stayed home on maternity leave that she happened to find out about this terrible lie. I tried to tell them I have no walkies but they didn't quite understand dog talk.

How my M found out is one day, my housekeeper supposedly took me out for my 'walk'. But instead of walking, she took me to the playground downstairs, tied me to a bench while she chatted with her other housekeeper friends. My M didn't realise until she went to the kitchen for a drink and saw from the window that I was tied downstairs. By then I was already there for about 20 minutes.

It happened that my MM came home so my M told him, and he went to take a photo as proof. Can you see me?

Anyway, just as he took the photo, our housekeeper happened to look up and saw him so she came up immediately. However, my MM did not 'expose' her immediately. And ths became bolder, and did it again the next week, this time when both my M and MM were at home! But this time she was more careful, she did not tie me to the bench, but just stood there and chatted, while looking up at our room window time to time to see if my M or MM spotted her.

My M was quite unhappy because she is supposed to walk me. She would not mind if the housekeeper is out of the house for 30 min or even 1 hour if I really was being walked, but if I'm just sitting downstairs, I could have just stayed at home and sit in my room instead. She thought that with added help in the house, I am getting extra walks but apparently I was just an excuse for the housekeeper to go and chat with her friends.

Anyway, my M said luckily the housekeeper is not too bright. Of all places and time she had to choose a place which can be seen from our kitchen window, on a day when my M and MM are at home to play her 'trick'. But it's also a good thing because that's how she got caught.

I hope our new housekeeper will give me proper walks next time. I wonder how I can complain to my M and make her understand if I get cheated again.

Near death experience

Something scary and horrible happened last night. I almost went to join my big brother Herbie. What happened was, after the mid-autumn festival pawty at Scuba's house last night (which I shall blog about later after I get over my traumatic near death experience), we went home.

My M and MM and my baby sister sat in the front seats, while our housekeeper and me went up the back seat. However, the housekeeper did not check that my leash was all inside the car and she closed the door. Just as my M< was reversing the car out of the lot, my leash got tangled under the wheel and I got chocked.

I was making strangling noises and luckily my quick thinking MM quickly stopped the car. Our housekeeper still had no idea what was happening. So my MM went down the car and opened the door and unleashed me. I jumped out immediately and tried to run away from the horrible leash but my MM caught me.

My MM was so angry at our housekeeper that he scolded her badly. Luckily I was not injured, or else I think they would have killed her. Erm... maybe not really kill, but enough to make her wish she was dead.

Anyway, I don't think she'll be with us soon. My MM and M are thinking of terminating her services, because of some other things she did. She even cheated my of my walks, which I shall blog about at a later date when she's gone.

Love my blog?

Sammi and Baylee just gave me an award, because they love my blog!

Finally I have someone other than my family loving me. My M says I'm not as popular as my big brother Herbie with other dogs coz I have no idea what is personal space and I am usually too 'in your face'. What IS personal space anyway?

Anyway here's the rules for the award:

1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least seven other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs that you've nominated.

So I now annouce the blogs that I love and whom have not been chosen:

Butchy & Snickers
The Brat Pack
Pippa
Joe and Tanner
Joey (I hope he'll play with me more after this award)
Charlie

My 4 seconds of fame

Remember the advert I did somewhere in May? It's finally officially out! It's actually a Nike ad for the Human Race, and here's the clip below.

I appear at around the 40 seconds mark, after the mascara streaked lady, for about 4 seconds running with a couple, so try not to blink after the mark or you might miss me! It's in black and white so it's not very obvious.

And now I can finally post the peektures of the filming process. We were actually supposed to be filming along a rail road and the nice production team even got me booties coz they were not sure if my paws can take the gravel.

Booties

But I told them, I'm a tuff boy so I don't need booties.

Like I said previously, a lot of time was spent waiting.

Waiting...

...For the train to go past...

... for my turn...

... for the crew to get ready...

While waiting, I had to entertain myself a little...

...by playing ball...

... and posing for nice pictures...

Notice the dark dark sky in the background? It was slightly drizzling.

Finally we took some shots at the rails with me! We first tried running with me on leash coz they weren't sure if I'm reliable enough off leash.

Then I tell them I am a very good boy off leash too, and off leash looks nicer. So they took one with me off leash. My M will stand at one end to call me while my MM have to bring me to the other end coz I refuse to walk so far away with the models without my M or MM.

See? I'm a good boy! But my M thought that maybe I ran too fast for the hoomans but the director said it's ok. The crew were very impressed with me coz I'm such a good boy.

Unfortunately, the rain got heavier but the shot was not done. So we had to change location.

New location and getting ready

My MM is actually hiding behind one of the pillars. He's so well hidden you can't see him.

And finally the cameras rolled and I RAN!

Sorry for the dark and slightly blurred picture. My M thought that it's a day shoot so she did not bring her flash, but coz of the rain, we filmed into the evening and the sky got darker too.

And so, this is how I became a part of the Nike Human Race, although I'm not human.

I wonder if they will come up with a Canine Race.

Guard dog

Now that my baby sister is at home, I feel that I have to be more vigilant in my guarding duties. So I bark at anyone who presses the doorbell. Depending on my mood, sometimes I only bark once or twice. If I'm feeling really excited, I go "Woof! Woo-woo-woo-woo-woof! WooF WOOF!"

Aunty W came over the other day and she was really impressed with my barks. She told my M that I sounded really fur-rocious, but once I appear at the door the image is totally spoiled.

I wonder what spoiled the image

Apparently guard dogs are not supposed to show off their toys.

Anyway, it doesn't matter because I still manage to scare strangers even with my toys. The meat delivery guy was so wary of me that he collected payment through the gate and left my meat outside, so we have to carry it in ourselves. My M said I almost scared away my dinner. I'll have to remember not to 'woo-woo-woo-woo-woof' at that man coz I still want my dinner.

But if that man is smart, he'll know that I just want to play. That's what the toys are for anyway.

Cramped

Life has been very crampy since the arrival of my baby sister. Remember bed-bed, which used to belong to my big brother Herbie, and which is now officially mine? Remember where it used to be?

Right next to my M and MM's bed.

Well, now that space has been taken up by a HUMONGOUS bed-bed, but it belongs to my baby sister.

Giant bed-bed!

And because of that, my old bed-bed and me has been relegated to a miserable small space. See how crampy we are now?

(M: Oh pul-leeze! You never sleep on bed-bed anyway, you prefer the floor! The only time you stepped on your bed is when you're trying to wake me up.

Nevertheless, I think we need a bigger bedroom, maybe a bigger house, one with a garden and a pool too!

Beach outing

This is a belated post. We went to the beach before my baby sister came but before my M had time to put up the peektures, my baby sister decided to come out.

Anyway, my M decided to bring me to the beach before my baby sister comes, coz she says I won't get to go to the beach so soon after that. I was the first to arrive and I had fun running on the beach...

and playing with my ball....

I even got tricked into digging my own 'grave'...

and was made to stay there...

while my M and MM tried to 'bury' me...

Boy was I glad they didn't really mean to bury me and I was allowed to jump up after they took some peektures.

Freedom!

All was going swell, until Tommy came...

Because he made a beeline for...

my ball... :(

and kept it for himself...

So I made a face at him (secretly of course...)

And luckily my M got another ball for me...

Then Joey came...

But how come he gets to keep HIS ball everytime?

He even gets to keep BOTH his balls...

Life can sometimes be so unfair. And I'm sure Scuba agrees with me, but not over balls...

He was being dragged to sea again...

He tried walking back...

Crawling back...

But it was hopeless...

Even while at sea, he was prevented from swimming back...

Finally the humans had enough fun at his expense and allowed him back on land. Look how happy he is!

So to make up for his bad morning, Scuba decided to kill some plastic bags. Look how scawie he looks!

I hope I get to go to the beach again soon, but first I must figure out how to pawtect my ball from Tommy. Any ideas?

Everyone's home!

My M and MM finally came home on Monday, and they had my baby sister Sherylyn with them and lots of presents!

Look at what my baby sister has! There were some toys too but my M said they're not for me.

Are you sure there's nothing for me here?

Actually having a baby sister is quite boring. She just eats, sleeps, poops and cry.

Sleeping

Crying....
It wasn't me!! Really!

ok, sometimes she manage to smile.

But really, that's all she does all day. So, when do they start throwing food and toys around?
