Finally! Back to the Beach!

We finally went back to the beach again, after a break of almost 9 months! Boy was I soooo happy to be back!

Look at happy me!

I finally get a chance to play with my special floating beach ball...

MY ball!

But it did not remain mine for long... because Tommy took it... as usual..

Not AGAIN!

...which he then proceed to roll over it...

But it's ok, because this time, I got HIS toy! And it's a brand new one which Aunty W just opened from the packaging!

I even made a face at him while he was not looking.

Nyah nyah nyah

Speaking of new toy, Aunty W said that they forgot to bring back Tommy's bag after they showered him at the beach. Inside were his towel, shampoo, his NEW toy and another UNOPENED toy! Some other lucky dog must have picked up his treasure. Maybe it's karma that he lost his new toys because he took mine. I must try to remember not to take other dog's toys if I want to keep my own toys then.

(M: I don't think you can stop yourself from stealing toys too.....)

Poor Scuba was once again dragged into the sea...

HeLp~~~~

He was so distressed that I swam out to check out what's happening

Once he got back to shore he got a bit crazy and started jumping around. Maybe he's trying to prevent himself from being caught again.

Joey was as usual too busy swimming to care about the rest of us.

And on this trip, my baby sister, Tommy's baby brother and Aunty G's niece came along as well. So for once Jack had something else to check out besides looking stern and bored on land.

Speaking of my baby sister, it's her first time to the beach!

The humans were wondering if my baby sister is my big brother Herbie reincarnated. Coz she's almost like my big brother Herbie.

She likes the sand....

... like my big brother Herbie

She doesn't like the water...

... like my big brother Herbie

She got buried in sand...

... like my big brother Herbie

and most importantly....

She BEGS....

... like my big brother Herbie

(notice that she's the only baby staring at the food? Aunty W even said she tried to put her paw on Aunty W's lap to ask for food.)

So... is she my big brother Herbie?

Herbie?

Maybe she is, because my big brother Herbie gets mistaken for a girl quite often anyway.

Sherylyn?

In any case, it doesn't really matter as long as I get to have fun on the beach!

yippee to swimming!

ESP me

My M is still constantly amazed that I know when they reach home.

So here is more proof of ESP me! I'm already waiting at the door AND wagging my tail while they are still inside the lift!

How to get rid of the baby

Almost everytime my baby sister is removed from her cell, I mean, playpen, she makes a beeline for me... or my toy.

(PS: Anyone feels that the initial background music from the TV suited the scene VERY perfectly?)

But I've finally found out the secret to getting rid of the baby!

A tongue bath will do the trick!

Oh clever me!

Plant killer

My M calls me the plant killer. She suspects that I've caused the death and replacement of several plants downstairs.

The thing is, I run when I'm happy and excited, and sometimes I jump over the bushes/ plants but there are times when I just plow through them or I don't jump high enough.

I hope that no one else finds out that I killed the plants. Maybe I could say that the cats did it?

RIP

(M: Actually I don't think it was totally Helios fault for killing the plants, because at the areas where we didn't let him run, the plants were flattened as well. Although I did think he helped to 'hasten' the demise of the plants near his area.)

Medical compensation?

Something has been bugging my M since this morning, and I'm sorta the source of it. The thing is, I got into a fight this morning.

Some dogs were barking at another dog outside the gate and I was standing there being the busybody (I wasn't barking) to check out what's happening. The next thing I knew, I was caught in a fight with one of the barking dogs (Miniature Schnauzer).

(M: One thing I know about Helios is that he's timid. Sometimes he might growl in fear when he sense a dominant big dog but he doesn't start the fight. Usually it's the other dog who will start the attack and Helios will fight back but he usually loses/ gets pinned down.)

Back to the fight this morning, the MS owner tried to stop the fight by throwing himself between us and Aunty M managed to grab me twice and pulled me away a tiny bit but the MS came charging back. It was only the 3rd grab that the MS's owner managed to grab him while Aunty M caught me.

The MS was ok, I got a slight cut on my tongue which most likely it's where I bit myself, but the owner of the MS got a wound on his arm about 2cm long which might require stitches.

(M: I felt quite bad and wondered if I should offer to pay for his medical, but then I wasn't sure if it was Helios who bit him, and I'm quite sure Helios didn't start the fight. His MS seems a little dominant as he was involved in a 'quarrel' with another MS earlier (no actual fight, just lots of sounds). The owner didn't say anything much, he was more concerned about his dog, and mentioned that his wound looks bad. I did say I'm sorry but I just stopped at that.)

It was only after he left that another eye witness said that most likely Helios bit him when he was grabbing Helios from the behind and Helios might have turned and snapped.

So now my M is wondering if she should have offered to pay for his medical bill, but would it have amounted to admitting that I was in the wrong?

(M: I feel bad that he got wounded but I don't think that it's entirely Helios fault that the fight started, especially when the MS kept coming back after they were separated.)

What do you think my M should have done?

Not enough

As if grabbing me is not enough, my baby sister is now resorting to grabbing MY toys! And right under my very own nose! She should be thanking her lucky stars that I'm not stealing... I mean sharing HER toys.

No peace

Will there never be peace on earth anymore?

Now my baby sister's favourite hobby is trying to grab any part of me she can get her chubby fingers on.

Same difference

My baby sister and I have more in common than what others think....

Spot the similarities

Bulimic me?

My M thinks that there's a mystery going on. And it's gotta do with my dinners and tummy.

Strangely for the past few weeks, whenever I eat at Grand M's home (my GrandM cooks my dinner when I go over with my baby sister), I will regurgitate a portion of my dinner. Sometimes it's almost immediate, like 5 minutes after dinner. Sometimes I wait til we're on the way home before puking downstairs.

However, I can keep my dinner in my tummy when I eat at my own home. And the other day I had dinner at my Grand MM's home and I didn't puke too.

So my M wondered why do I only puke at my Grand M's home when I'm being fed the same food. The only difference is the cooking method. She thinks that GrandM adds too much water when boiling my meat so I end up with a very soupy dinner and that's what caused the puking. But GrandM argued that my big brother Herbie used to eat the same thing without any problems. She even made sure the meat was thoroughly cooked to kill all 'germs'. I guess my M didn't tell her sometimes I get raw meat, so uncooked meat is perfectly fine with me.

So now my M is testing to see if it's really the different cooking methods. She cooked my dinner personally at GrandM's house last night and I didn't puke. So she'll be trying it a few more times to see if the change in the cooking method helps.

Does anyone have any idea why I only puke at my GrandM's place? Maybe it's the fengshui?

My protector...

My M's leg.... the only thing that is saving me from my baby sis's evil clutches.

Yes, apparently she was released early from jail for 'good behavior'.

Vroom Vroom

After reading Joey's post, I realised that my M and Aunty G bought the same vroom vroom!

My M came home last week with this big box and said that it's a vacuum cleaner.

She said that now that my baby sister has learned how to crawl, we can't have tumbleweeds at home. But we don't live in a desert, where did the tumbleweeds come from? So my M said I'm a silly boy and it's my fur. In that case, shouldn't it be called tumblefur?

Anyway, my M said it's all because of my fur that the floor now has to be cleaned everyday. Ans she's too tired to do it everyday after work, so she got a robot to do it for her. She even got the 'Pet Series' one.

My fault again

So we opened the box to check out what's inside.

Then after getting it all together, my M switched it on. And that thing CAME ALIVE!! It moves on it's own!! I was curious yet scared of it. What happens if it decides to attack me? See how I try to check it out cautiously?

Then Aunty Viv sent my M a video clip of this very brave kitty who managed to tame the wild beast and said maybe my M should train me to do the same.

brave kitty

I hope my M doesn't really try it. My bum is too big, besides, I might crush the thing.

Now my M hopes that someone will invent automatic bedsheet changer, clothes ironer and clothes folder.

I spy with my little eye....

Can you see what I see?

A kitty cat! Hiding in the bush this morning! But my M forbids me to go after them, so I can only stand and stare, hoping that kitty cat will come to me instead so that I can have an excuse to play.

Anyone knows how to make kitty cats come closer?

No play?

My M is not working today, but instead of entertaining me, she's doing housework! Someone should tell her how to get her priorities right! Look how bored i look!

My yummy V-day dinner

I know this is a late post, but my M was lazy. Anyway it's about my Valentine Day's dinner. I lurrrve V-day, because it is a day of yummy food! (M: It's a day for love, silly!)

It is? I always thought V-day is a day for food, because I get special dinners on that day. Maybe it's a day for love of FOOD!

Anyway, my M cooked again. To be fair, all of us had almost the same basic thing, fish and broccoli... even the baby! But the baby has extra sweet potatoes, my M and MM had tomato soup... but I had extra beef! I'm special because beef is so much better than veges!

Baby food... she got extra sweet potatoes...

The extras....

Tomato soup... made with real tomatoes!

It doesn't look soupy yet coz my M had to puree it.

Strangely, it looked like my baby sister's dinner...

Don't they look the same? And even more strangely, how come my baby sister's food looked so different from my M and MM's food although it's made of the same stuff?

Anyway, I don't really care, coz I get to eat all of them! Yup, my M gave me the leftovers from my baby sister's dinner too. Speaking of which, I've been getting quite a lot of her leftovers recently coz my M tend to cook a bit more. My baby sis is FINALLY becoming a blessing!

Here's my dinner!

And then there is the customary pose before every special meal.

It was indeed yummy... if only my M won't keep taking peektures of me eating.

But good food is never enough... so here's me teaching my baby sister the next lesson in life....

Begging at the dinner table

I wonder when will be the next special dinner day...

Go directly to jail, do not pass Go.

The long arms of the law has finally caught up with my baby sister. She was finally jailed for assaulting me.

I wonder how long the jail term will be.... how long will I be safe from her evil clutches...

She's not gonna come out anytime soon right?

But I fear that it won't be long....

Criminal behind bars... I mean, net...

Escaped lion!

Something frightening happened last week... I saw an escaped lion! And it was dancing! I'm not sure what was worse, the lion being an escapee or that it was dancing.

I was so shocked that I slipped my collar and tried to run away from the big dancing lion but my M called me back so I had to slink back carefully although I very much wanted to run.

This is what the escaped lion looks like:

Doesn't it look frightening?

My M even took a clip of it trying to dance. I don't know why everyone is looking at a dangerous beast dance and some of the bystanders even laughed at me when I tried to run.

My M just laughed at me and said I'm a scaredy cat. She said that if I die one day, the cause of death would most likely be a heart attack, since I get so easily spooked. I think I might have to wear armor in future to protect my heart from evil dancing lions and scawie ronalds attacking it.

I wonder if any authorities are attempting to capture the escaped lion.

Next: ears?

I hope that is not going to be the next target.

Eat me?

I don't think babies are a good thing.

Take for my instance, my baby sister. Not only is she NOT feeding me food (or even attempting to throw a toy for me), she is now trying to EAT me! Yes, eat ME! I'm glad that she doesn't have teeth yet, but will I be able to escape once she grows a full set of teefies?

She even made a u-turn to get to me. Look how she was contemplating my toes, deciding how to eat it, then decide to start from my tail first. And listen to how she's screaming in excitement at the thought of eating my tail?

Do you think my M will rescue me from her evil clutches?

Waiting.....

My baby sister has finally been upgraded to eating semi-solids.

What a mess!

So I thought I finally got to the stage when babies gets fun (for dogs).

Is anything dropping?

Hey I'm still waiting for my turn... yoo hoo... here~~

But it turns out there was nothing.

Sherylyn: Haha, Helios got cheated!
Helios: I thought you're supposed to drop some!

I thought they say babies throw food on the ground?

Sigh.. maybe next time....

But I still love my baby sis.

Sixth sense?

My M seems to think I've got 6th sense, coz I just know when they're coming home from work. Either that or their coming home time happens to coincide near dinnertime.

Proof can be seen in the clip below. I was already waiting at the door when they were still in the lift. They even asked GrandM if I was there the whole day but GrandM said I just started staying near the door slightly before they came home.

Look how excited I am when they got home!!

But I'm a good boy coz I did not to step on my baby sis even with all my excitement.

(M: Somehow Helios always avoided the baby mattress area. He's excited but not clumsy and has never stepped on the baby. But his tail has managed to sweep her across the face tho.. lol)
